Just because we can't travel to NY this year does NOT mean we can't have a great weekend of fun, fellowship, and worship!  Introducing Avalanche '21!

Held at Camp Joy-El in Greencastle, PA, Avalanche is a youth retreat for students in 6th grade through 12th grade.  Those attending should plan to be at the church building by 3pm on Friday, February 19th.  We will depart by 4pm.  We plan to return to the church building around 2pm on Sunday, February 21st.

Many details are still being worked out, but the basic plan is for students to be fed spiritually while building relationships and having fun.  We are planning three large worship meetings, each including a time of singing, a message, and other uplifting content that speaks truth to our students.  Teens will lodge in cabins with others from their own churches.  Small groups will provide opportunities for teens to share their hearts with each other as they dig deeper into God's Word together.  Finally, a packed lineup of games and activities will keep everyone busy, and will keep the leaders tired.  It's not our fault...we're old!

There is one cost for the entire weekend.  That one payment covers transportation, lodging, programming, and five meals.  Dinner on Friday, three meals on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday will be enjoyed together in the Joy-El dining facility.  We MAY stop for lunch on the way back, and there will be a snack shack open at Joy-El, so bringing some spending money is encouraged, but not required.

The starting price for campers is $140.  HOWEVER, it only goes down from there.  I have a list of students that worked at the Christmas Market.  These students earned a share of the donations that were collected that night.  I know how much I have, but I don't know how many kids will be splitting it!  For teens who worked the Christmas Market, plan for at least a $20 reduction in your price.  It could climb as high as a $50 scholarship.  I won't know until we finalize registration.

We will also offer a family discount for families with multiple students attending.  The first student will be full price (minus any scholarships), then each subsequent student can take $15 off the base price.

If families are experiencing financial hardship, please call Pastor Jerry directly so we can discuss options.
